JOB SUMMARY:

The Administrative Director is responsible for analyzing all costs, productivity, market trends & volume activity for Heart Institute services & collaborates with other members of the management team to determine broader product line trends. He/She works collaboratively with the Division Chief and key physicians in provides business planning, strategic & development functions for the Heart Institute Service lines. He/She identifies opportunities for new programs or services, physician recruitment & enhancement of current services. Is responsible for the patient care, staffing, staff competency, quality management, review & operational management of the departments. This includes administration, management, operation & quality assurance/improvement of services provided by the department. The Administrative Director is ensure that all services are provided in accordance with Rady Children-s policies, Joint Commission requirements, California Children's Services requirements, CDPH, & that they are consistent with the standards & licensure/educational preparations of each discipline. The Director must work effectively with multiple constituencies including physician, physician extenders, direct care givers, revenue cycle staff, & other Medical Practice Foundation & Hospital departments to meet the Hospital operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

5 years of experience

Broad knowledge of complex disciplines represented in departments and of the laws and regulations pertaining to services provided by the departments

5+ years Cardiac Care Experience

Five (5) years experience in administrative or leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

6 years of experience

Certified by ACHE and/or MGMA

Experience with EPIC or EMR systems

Experience in pediatric specialty/subspecialty practice

Experience in an academic practice environment
