JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director, PFS, this position will be responsible for supervising staff in MPF Patient Financial Services and overseeing daily team operations to ensure timely billing and collections on accounts receivables. Monitors staff productivity for quantity and quality, ensuring appropriate actions and documentation are completed. Administers progressive disciplinary action as needed for performance and policy infractions. Monitors work processes and identifies/implements process improvement opportunities. Ensures all billing and collection activities are compliant with federal, state, and industry standards and regulations. Prepares reports for monthly meetings, audits and analyzes billing reports to ensure assigned Divisions' productivity, efficiency and financial goals are being met. Communicates with the Director, Professional Billing, other departments, insurance carriers, patients, providers and/or other billing personnel to ensure a smooth workflow. Assists the recruiting selection and placement of new staff. Responsible for organizing and managing all work of the team members and ensuring timely processing of accounts either from a billing, collections, follow-up, or customer service perspective. Responsible for managing the root cause analysis of the designated initiatives that prevent timely billing or collection of accounts assigned to each team member and assimilate the data into readable and useful tools for analysis. Participates and collaborates with the Manager, PFS and Director, Professional Billing for making effective recommendations to the larger PFS Leadership Team leading to effective resolutions. Works in collaboration with Manager PFS, Director, Professional Billing and all departments and units in the revenue cycle to appropriately communicate issues and/or barriers, and to formulate work plans for resolution of trended issues. Provides training and competency evaluation of team members as it relates to specific job functions and responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

  • 5 Years of Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
