This is a Casual, Grant-Funded position with an anticipated assignment length through June 30, 2018 and subject to renewal thereafter.

JOB SUMMARY:

Evaluates and diagnoses the communication and functional ability of patients through administration and interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation and patient/family interview. Creates individualized treatment and educational plans and provides patient/family counseling. Develops and implements innovative and specific treatment plans to maximize the patient's functional potential, based on clinical findings. Consults with medical team and allied health professionals and documents all pertinent clinical findings to render a comprehensive, family-based intervention plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology

  • 1 year of experience

  • California license in Speech Pathology

  • ASHA certification (CCC-SP)

  • Current BLS/CPR certification for Health Care Providers (Issued by American Heart Association)

  • Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience

  • Board certification in advanced practice

  • Two years pediatric experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
